Lithuania suspends visa-free travel for Georgian diplomats and officials

Ukrinform
Citizens of Georgia who hold diplomatic and service passports and enter Lithuania through the EU's external border will need a visa.

This is reported by Delfi with reference to official sources, Ukrinform reports.

The Lithuanian government has adopted a resolution to implement the decision of the EU Council adopted in January to suspend the visa-free regime for Georgian diplomats and officials.

These officials and their family members will no longer be able to travel to the EU without visas for short-term stays. They will also no longer be eligible for the simplified and cheap procedure for applying for long-term visas.

Ordinary Georgian citizens will continue to not need visas to travel to the EU.
