Zelensky said he would personally wait for Vladimir Putin in Turkey on May 15.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who arrived in Istanbul on May 15 for peace talks with Putin, said that the absence of a Russian negotiating team of the appropriate level in Turkey was disrespectful not only to Ukraine but also to Turkey and the United States.
He also said that he would send a delegation headed by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to Istanbul to negotiate with the Russian delegation.
