Ukrainian, Hungarian foreign ministers agree to meet soon

Sybiha announced this on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

"On the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue [a multilateral conference held annually in New Delhi, India], I had a constructive conversation with Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. We agreed to hold a separate bilateral meeting soon to have a thorough discussion of all issues on our agenda," Sybiha said.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski accused Hungary of blocking the start of Ukraine's EU membership negotiations.

During a press briefing in Warsaw, Sybiha stressed that Ukraine is considering various options to address Hungary's obstruction of the negotiation process and hopes to leverage European diplomacy to resolve the issue.

Hungary, invoking the EU's unanimity principle on enlargement decisions, continues to block the launch of Ukraine's accession talks.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that his government would conduct a poll among Hungarian citizens regarding their support for Ukraine's EU membership.
