Zelensky holds meeting with military command in Odesa region

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is on a working trip to Odesa region where he held a meeting with the military command.

That’s according to Zelensky’s Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

"Working trip to Odesa region. I held a meeting with the regional military command and heads of law enforcement agencies to discuss the current situation in Odesa region. (…)This is a priority region of our independent state,” the head of state wrote.

During the meeting, restoration of the energy infrastructure affected by Russian strikes and ensuring its stable functioning was discussed, as well as reboot of key enterprises under martial law, meeting the needs of internally displaced Ukrainians, and rehabilitation of the military.

During the meeting, the president introduced Oleh Kiper, the newly appointed head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.

In addition, Zelensky noted the work of the regional administration and Security Service (SBU) office in countering Russia’s reconnaissance and subversive efforts.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on May 31, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Ole Kiper as chief head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
