U.S. President Joe Biden has stated that the Russian dictator will not succeed in subduing the Ukrainians, and Ukraine will never be a victory for the Kremlin.

He said this on Tuesday in his speech in the center of Warsaw, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Brutality will never grind down the will of the free.  And Ukraine — Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia.  Never,” Biden stated.

He also stressed that a dictator bent on rebuilding an empire will never be able to ease the people’s love of liberty.

“Democracies of the world will stand guard over freedom today, tomorrow and forever,” he said.

Biden also noted that Europe has observed over the past decades that “appetites of the autocrat cannot be appeased.”

"Appetites of the autocrat cannot be appeased. They must be opposed. Autocrats only understand one word: no,” he said.

Also, Biden called on Russians not to believe that the West is allegedly planning to capture and destroy Russia, as Putin says. However, he noted: “if Ukraine stopped defending itself against Russia, it would be the end of Ukraine.”

In this regard, he reaffirmed U.S. commitment to stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes.

As Ukrinform reported, U.S. President Joe Biden paid an unannounced visit to Kyiv on February 20, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky. On Tuesday, February 21, President Biden is on an official visit to Poland.
