Ukrinform
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft agreement with the Government of Guatemala on the mutual waiver of visa requirements.

That's according to the website of the Ukrainian government, Ukrinform reports.

"Ukraine and Guatemala have friendly and partnership relations. Guatemala firmly supports our country in countering Russian aggression. When the visa-free agreement enters into force, this will help strengthen people-to-people contacts, and promote the development of business, cultural exchanges, and tourist trips," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said after the approval of the draft agreement at the government meeting.

The draft agreement envisages the possibility of citizens of Ukraine and Guatemala making mutual visa-free trips for a period of up to 90 days within 180 days.

It is expected that the mutual regime of visa-free travel for all categories of citizens is established on a permanent basis.

Citizens of Ukraine have been able to enter Guatemala without a visa since 2009, according to a unilateral decision of the Guatemalan side. Citizens of Guatemala now need to get a visa to enter Ukraine.
