The leadership of the United Kingdom in providing assistance to Ukraine will remain in the history of the defense of democracy and Europe.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The leadership of the United Kingdom in providing our country with the necessary assistance, especially in terms of defense, as well as the leadership in sanctions policy will remain forever in history. In the history of the defense of democracy, in the history of the defense of Europe. Ukraine will always be grateful to Boris [Johnson] and Britain for this,” Zelensky told.

In his words, Boris Johnson’s visit to Ukraine demonstrates as clearly as possible: there are no obstacles to freedom and leadership.

The President of Ukraine stressed that Boris Johnson was among those who did not hesitate for a moment whether to support Ukraine.

A reminder that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid a visit to Kyiv on April 9, 2022. During his visit, Johnson presented a new package of financial and defense support for Ukraine. In addition, Zelensky and Johnson discussed new sanctions that are needed to force Russia to seek peace.
