Kuleba compares Russian economy to enemy tank running out of fuel

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has compared Russian economy under sanctions to an enemy tank, which has entered the territory of Ukraine and run out of fuel.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during a telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Actually, Russian economy can be now compared to a Russian tank, which has entered the territory of Ukraine. At first, it is driving along very bravely, flying the Russian flag, reaching some village, and then it is running out of fuel. Local villagers are surrounding it and peacefully forcing the crew to flee. Then peaceful villagers are capturing the crew members in fields and woods and establishing justice over the aggressor,” Kuleba told.

In his words, Russia did not expect such sanctions – not individual sanctions from the United States but the sanctions coordinated by G7.

“This is roughly the condition of Russian economy. It has already entered, run out of fuel, got surrounded by peaceful countries across the globe, and now it is time for the last step: when the crew members get out and begin to flee, and then they will be captured all over the world,” Kuleba noted.

A reminder that, on March 11, 2022, G7 leaders stated they remained resolved to isolate Russia further from their economies and the international financial system and committed to taking further measures as soon as possible.
