Parliament plans to update legislation on personal data protection – Stefanchuk

The Ukrainian parliament plans to update legislation on personal data protection and electronic trust services.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk said this at the Diia Summit 2022, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“This year we plan to update the legislation on personal data protection and electronic trust services. The Parliament was and remains a partner of the people of Ukraine on the way to the introduction of a new digital reality,” he said.

The speaker also added that the Verkhovna Rada works on other important bills related to cloud services, e-residency, e-signature, and cybersecurity.

"We plan to adopt all these bills in the near future," Stefanchuk summed up.
