Klitschko says President's Office invited him to NSDC meeting
According to Ukrinform, Klitschko announced this on the Telegram messaging app.
"My friends, I received a call from the President's Office and was invited to today's meeting of the National Security and Defense Council. Two-and-a-half hours before it starts. Unfortunately, I will not be able to be physically present. After checking the work at the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge, I have already left on a working trip on the affairs of the Association of Ukrainian Cities to Chernihiv region," he said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier instructed NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov to organize a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on August 20.
The press service of the President's Office said a briefing would be held on Friday evening after the NSDC meeting.
Earlier, Klitschko said the National Security and Defense Council could consider removing him from the post of the head of Kyiv City State Administration.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov said the agenda of the NSDC meeting on Friday did not include the issue of Klitschko's dismissal as head of Kyiv City State Administration.
