Carpathian Office of Ukrainian–Polish cooperation to open in Truskavets

The Carpathian Office of Ukrainian–Polish cooperation (Karpackie Biuro Współpracy Ukraińsko-Polskiej) will start working in Truskavets on Wednesday, August 4.

“The main idea of ​​the Office is to establish contacts and high-quality cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in various fields, the main of which is the promotion of tourist and investment attractiveness of Eastern Carpathians which cover the highlands of Ukraine and Poland with their recreational and health potential,” the press service of the Lviv Regional State Administration informs.

Another strategic goal of opening such an institution is to facilitate and support friendly and good neighborly relations through joint and cooperative efforts between citizens, governmental and non-governmental organizations of both countries, promote the culture of both peoples, preserving common natural, historical and cultural heritage and values.

The institution was established by the joint efforts of the International Center “European Integration of Ukraine” and the Department of International Technical Assistance and International Cooperation at the Lviv Regional State Administration with the support of the Consulate General of Poland in Lviv.

The Office will be headquartered at the Karpaty hotel and resort complex in Truskavets town.

The Office will host joint events: symposia, conferences, round tables, etc. It also will be a platform for sharing experiences and implementing joint projects.

In the future, the Office branches are planned to open in other towns and resorts of the Carpathian region of Ukraine. The International Center “European Integration of Ukraine” will organize and coordinate the Office’s activities.
