Italy in favor of increasing efficiency of Minsk process – FM

Italy is in favor of improving the efficiency of the Minsk process, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic Luigi Di Maio has said.
He said this after talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We believe that the parties involved should continue to make every effort to increase the efficiency of the Minsk agreements in a negotiated format. We continue to fully support the Normandy format and the OSCE-sponsored Trilateral Contact Group for a peaceful and stable solution," the minister said.
According to him, Rome supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and sanctions against Russia, as well as opposes the illegal annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio is on an official visit to Ukraine on June 10.
