Kuleba against holding of TCG talks in Minsk
He said this on the air of Savik Shuster's Freedom of Speech TV program on Friday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I do not even see a hypothetical scenario for trips to Minsk and I do not support the idea of continuing these talks in Minsk," Kuleba said.
According to him, so far there are no technical, logistic or political conditions for traveling to Minsk and negotiating there again.
"This issue is not on the agenda at all for one simple reason – all meetings are held online ... I think that in the near future this issue will not require a solution," the minister said.
As Ukrinform reported, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Leonid Kravchuk, considers it obvious to change the Minsk format and to search for another city for holding meetings due to recent events in Belarus.
On May 23, Ryanair Flight 4978, traveling between Athens and Vilnius, Lithuania, was forced to land in Minsk by Belarusian authorities. Roman Protasevich, an opposition journalist and a founder of the Telegram channel Nexta on board, was arrested.
European leaders agreed to impose sectoral sanctions on Belarus and to bar EU airlines from flying over the country.
Ukraine suspended flights to Belarus since May 26.
