The Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) will not visit Minsk for direct talks and meetings after the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, according to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov.

He said this live on the Freedom of Speech program on the ICTV channel on Monday, April 5, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We have categorically stated that we will not participate in the meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group if the quarantine restrictions are suddenly lifted and it is proposed to continue these consultations directly in Minsk, as it was before. We explained that the Ukrainian delegation will not send its delegates to Minsk for meetings in real life, and we will have to look for another country, another city," Reznikov said.

According to him, there is no trust in Belarus as it is currently under the influence of the Russian Federation.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group and its subgroups within the Minsk negotiation process have been held via videoconference since last year.
