Government ratifies Ukraine-US agreement on scientific cooperation

According to Ukrinform, the relevant document was approved at a government meeting on March 31.

According to the explanatory note to the document, the adoption of the bill will provide a legal basis for bilateral cooperation in the scientific and technological sector and expand Ukraine's participation in international scientific and technological cooperation. It will also provide Ukrainian scientists with the opportunity to obtain appropriate conditions for scientific research and integration into the world scientific space.

The draft law was developed in connection with the expiration on May 25, 2019 of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States on cooperation in the scientific and technological sector as of December 4, 2006.
