Zelensky invites president of Austria to join Crimean Platform initiative

Zelensky thanked his Austrian counterpart for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The parties agreed that international sanctions against Russia should be maintained until the full restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
At the same time, the Ukrainian president stressed the importance of keeping the attention of the world community to the development of the situation on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea and informed the interlocutor about the Crimean Platform initiative.
Zelensky invited Van der Bellen and his wife to take part in the inaugural summit of the initiative, which will take place in Kyiv in August 2021, and in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
As reported, the Crimean Platform is a new consultative and coordination format initiated by Ukraine to improve the efficiency of the international response to the occupation of Crimea, respond to growing security challenges, step up international pressure on Russia, prevent further human rights violations, protect victims of the occupying power and to achieve the de-occupation of Crimea and its return to Ukraine.
