Successful judicial reform to accelerate Ukraine’s integration into EU, NATO – Zelensky

"Successful judicial reform in Ukraine is an accelerator for our integration into the European Union and NATO," Zelensky said during the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. Development of Justice", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He stressed that ensuring the rights of Ukrainian citizens for the fair and independent court is a basic principle of any democratic state.

"We may have the best anti-corruption bodies in the world, but they lose their meaning if corrupt officials avoid fair punishment in the courts. At the legislative level, we can introduce the best conditions for attracting investment, but it will not work if the investor is not able to protect their investments right here in the Ukrainian court,” Zelensky said.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 18, the Strategy for the Development of Judiciary Bodies and Constitutional Judiciary for 2021-2023 was represented to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
