European Council president’s visit to Ukraine scheduled for March 2-3

European Council President Charles Michel plans to pay a visit to Ukraine on March 2-3 and visit Donbas, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Ihor Zhovkva has said.
He wrote about this in a column for the Novoye Vremya (NV) media outlet, Ukrinform reports.
"We are also preparing for the visit of European Council President Charles Michel to Ukraine on March 2-3, during which he will also visit Donbas together with the president," Zhovkva said.
He also added that the Ukrainian side hopes that Mr. Michel's promise given to President Zelensky at the summit [the Ukraine-EU summit in October 2020] will be kept, and the Common Aviation Area Agreement will be signed in early 2021.
As Ukrinform reported, European Council President Charles Michel announced his visit to Kyiv after a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on February 9, but did not name a specific date.
