Government dismisses deputy minister for strategic industries

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Vitalii Nemilostivyi, according to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"The behavior shown by Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Vitalii Nemilostivyi is unacceptable. Everyone must be equal before the law. Therefore, we have promptly considered the issue of the deputy minister's dismissal," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Shmyhal added that a position in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is not a privilege but, first and foremost, a responsibility to the people and the country.
Earlier, the media reported that patrol police in Kyiv had stopped Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Vitalii Nemilostivyi on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The man, resembling Nemilostivyi, allegedly tried to leave the scene and even got into a fight with patrol police officers.
