Chernyshov: Newly formed territorial communities are centers of economic growth
“The Ukrainian government has repeatedly stressed that the newly formed communities are centers of economic growth with new high-quality management and resources. The leaders of the newly formed communities are managers interested in developing communities, attracting investments, both internal and external,” said Chernyshov at the international online conference "Community Development: Trust, Institutions, Finance and People”, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, the Ministry for Territories Development is focusing on helping communities to attract investments and create infrastructure projects next year.
"The leadership in the communities should focus on stimulating the interest of employers to create new jobs, to promote the employment of citizens in need of social protection and who are not able to compete on equal terms in the labor market," the minister stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, on December 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine to regulate certain issues of organization and operation of local self-government bodies and regional state administrations" (No. 3651-d). The law is one of the required laws to complete the decentralization reform in Ukraine.
