Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Yenin has received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Ukraine Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz.

"Today I received copies of credentials from the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Ukraine (with residence in Warsaw), H.E. Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz," Yenin wrote on his Facebook page on December 9.

During the meeting, he emphasized the readiness of our country to strengthen cooperation with the Philippines, in particular within the framework of ASEAN.

The deputy minister noted that in the first three quarters of 2020, Ukraine exported the most products to the Philippines among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In this regard, Ukraine is interested in intensifying the dynamics of bilateral political dialogue and enhancing cooperation in the trade and economic sector.

In addition, during the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of visa liberalization between the two states.
