Denmark stands for Ukraine's integrity, calls on Russia to end occupation of Crimea

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod said this during the 27th OSCE Ministerial Council on Thursday, December 3.

"We call on Russia to end its illegal annexation of Crimea. We remind all participating states that the SMM [Special Monitoring Mission] must have unimpeded and safe access throughout Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders," he said.

According to Kofod, the conflict in eastern Ukraine remains the greatest security challenge in Europe. "Denmark stands firmly behind the need for full implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," he said.

The 27th OSCE Ministerial Council is being held via videoconference on December 3-4 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 40 foreign ministers of the OSCE participating states will summarize the organization's activities in 2020 and review the security situation in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions. Russian aggression against Ukraine is one of the main topics of the meeting.
