Ukrinform
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov says that next year Ukraine is not planning to create a special Fund to combat the spread of COVID-19

“As of today, there are no plans to create special anti-COVID Fund for next year. There are discussions in the parliament, some factions are considering this, MPs say that it is necessary to create an additional special anti-COVID Fund," the speaker said on the air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to Razumkov, there are two positions on this issue. On the one hand, it is not so important whether it will be a certain fund or various funds at the Education Ministry, Health Ministry, Defense Ministry, and Interior Ministry that will cover costs related to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to estimations by the Health Ministry, the National Health Service of Ukraine will require UAH 225 billion for the medical guarantees program next year. The Ukrainian government projected UAH 123 billion for this in the draft state budget for 2021.
