Yenin receives copies of credentials from newly appointed ambassador of Tajikistan

Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Yenin has received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Nazrizoda Davlatali, the Foreign Ministry's press service reports.

Yenin noted the importance of intensifying the Ukrainian-Tajik political dialogue, as well as trade and economic cooperation.

The interlocutors also confirmed the readiness of Ukraine and Tajikistan for further cooperation in investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and stressed the existence of a significant potential for cooperation in education.

According to the Foreign Ministry, in January-November 2020, Ukraine's exports to the Republic of Tajikistan amounted to $12.91 million, which is 63% compared to the same period last year. The decline in Ukrainian exports occurred against the background of countries imposing restrictions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. Tajikistan's exports to Ukraine amounted to $376.6 thousand, which is 45% compared to January-November 2019.
