Energy Ministry appoints deputy minister for digital development

The Energy Ministry has appointed Yevhen Vladimirov as deputy minister for digital development, digital transformation and digitization, the ministry’s press service reports.

"Among the priority tasks of new deputy will be the classification of critical infrastructure of the energy sector; development of a concept of cybersecurity of the energy sector and an action plan; development of a strategy for digital transformation of the energy sector," said acting Energy Minister Olha Buslavets.

The ministry’s long-term plans also include the development of cooperation with international leading companies in the field of cybersecurity and digital transformation.

Prior to his appointment, Yevhen Vladimirov was CEO of NGO International Cybersecurity University. He is a member of the working group on the development of cyber protection of critical infrastructure of the energy sector at the Energy Ministry and a co-author of a draft concept of cybersecurity of the energy sector.
