Kuleba advocates expanding Ukraine's diplomatic presence in Central Europe

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba advocates optimizing Ukraine's diplomatic presence abroad, particularly in Central Europe.

"I set a task for my colleagues to optimize Ukraine's diplomatic presence abroad so that we become closer to people and manage to provide faster, better services to Ukrainian citizens and Ukrainian business," Kuleba said at an online briefing on Tuesday, October 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The minister reminded that he had previously announced the opening of a new consulate in Romania, and yesterday the President told about the opening of another consulate in Poland.

"I believe that we must be present in the neighboring Central European countries as powerfully as possible. We must develop these ties, relations with Central European countries as this is our part of Europe, we are one whole here, and interpenetration should be utmost," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stressed.

October 12, President Zelensky announced the opening of a new Consulate General of Ukraine in Wroclaw (Poland) and expressed hope that it would start working next year.

September 7, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced a decision to open a new Consulate General of Ukraine in Sighetu Marmației, Romania.
