Government completes transformation of Environmental Protection Ministry – Abramovsky

Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Roman Abramovsky stated this at a briefing on September 9, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Back in the spring, a decision was approved to form a separate ministry. Today the transformation is almost complete. The latest decision was a draft resolution on renaming key government resolutions that had been adopted earlier," Abramovsky said.

As reported, on May 27, the Cabinet of Ministers established the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources and renamed the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection to the Ministry of Energy. Olha Buslavets was appointed as head of the energy department and Roman Abramovsky became the head of the environmental department.
