The two ministers had a phone conversation on August 26, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Kuleba assured his Polish counterpart of his readiness to develop relations between Ukraine and Poland.
In addition, the ministers reaffirmed the importance of the Lublin Triangle platform, consisting of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania, and its strengthening as an important regional format of interaction.
The interlocutors agreed on further contacts and cooperation. Kuleba invited his Polish counterpart to pay a visit to Ukraine.
In turn, the new Polish foreign minister expressed his conviction in further fruitful cooperation for the successful development of Ukrainian-Polish relations. He stressed that the talk with his Ukrainian counterpart was one of his first phone conversations, which testifies to the importance of relations between the two states.
As reported, on August 20, Polish President Andrzej Duda appointed Chairman of the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee Zbigniew Rau as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
