Denisova, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine sign memorandum of cooperation

“I’ve signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, Ambassador Henrik Villadsen. I thanked the OSCE for its sustained support of international projects in the field of human rights protection, in particular the project entitled "Civil society support in conducting trial monitoring", which was successfully implemented in 2019," she wrote on Facebook.

Denisova also noted that she is ready to strengthen cooperation with the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine in 2021 in priority areas, in particular, in promoting social dialogue, the rule of law and human rights. She noted that a training course for labor inspectors on combating human trafficking, recently developed and presented with the assistance of Ambassador Villadsen, helps civil servants implement policy on this issue.

She also handed over the 2019 Ombudsman's annual report on the state of observance and protection of human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine to Ambassador Villadsen.

“At the end, we signed an important document that will deepen the cooperation of both parties in various directions, in particular, in conducting educational campaigns in all regions of our state in order to raise awareness of the population about their rights. I hope that the signing of the memorandum will open up new opportunities for both sides, and cooperation between the Ombudsman's Office and the OSCE will reach a new level,” Denisova said.
