Thirty-eight Interior Ministry officers take part in international peacekeeping missions

Some 38 employees of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry are participating in international peacekeeping missions, the Ministry’s press service reports.

“Thirty-eight officers of the Interior Ministry, including representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and members of the National Guard of Ukraine, are taking part in international peacekeeping missions,” the report reads.

The Ukrainian military monitor conflicts as part of five UN and OSCE peacekeeping missions, in particular in Cyprus, Kosovo, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

One representative of the Interior Ministry was sent to the Department of Peacekeeping Operations in New York, USA.

As reported, Ukraine's Day of Peacekeepers is marked on July 15.
