Zelensky signs law to support creative industries during coronavirus quarantine
“Creative industries, cultural institutions are among those who have been affected the most from quarantine. They have almost fully stopped their activities and now live in complete uncertainty. These are entire areas of the economy that are currently on the brink of survival. They also pay taxes and create jobs, so they need no less support than traditional businesses,” the president’s press service cited Volodymyr Zelensky as saying.
The Office of the President reminded that the Verkhovna Rada approved at second reading the law on state support for culture, creative industries and tourism during the coronavirus quarantine (No.692-IX) on June 16.
In particular, the law aims to ensure that creative industries can survive and that their workers receive social and economic guarantees during the coronavirus quarantine.
