G7 ambassadors, Venediktova discuss importance of impartial criminal justice in Ukraine

The ambassadors of the G7 countries and Ukraine's Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova discussed the importance of an impartial criminal justice system for Ukraine.

“During a meeting yesterday with Prosecutor General Venediktova, the G7 Ambassadors discussed the importance of continuing prosecutorial reform to ensure an independent, impartial criminal justice system for Ukraine,” reads a statement on the Twitter account of the U.S. Presidency of the G7 Ambassadors’ Support Group in Kyiv.

Earlier, leading members of the European Parliament, as well as international organizations, Ukrainian public figures, activists, and the media, in a joint statement called on President Volodymyr Zelensky to end the political persecution of former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
