Parliament appoints Marchenko as finance minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has appointed Serhiy Marchenko as the Finance Minister of Ukraine.
A total of 256 MPs voted for the corresponding resolution at an extraordinary sitting of the Parliament on March 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In 2016-2018, Serhiy Marchenko served as the Deputy Finance Minister. In 2018-2019, he held the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Administration. In July 2019, Marchenko ran for the Parliament from the Groysman Ukrainian Strategy political party.
