Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko will visit New York and Washington in the United States in late February.

He said this at a joint briefing with Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod in Kyiv on Thursday, February 6, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I can confirm that I plan to visit Washington and New York in late February," Prystaiko said.

He added that in New York, the UN General Assembly will host a high-level event requiring the participation of the minister where Prystaiko will talk about what had happened in temporarily occupied territories in Donbas and Crimea last year, and how Ukraine is trying to solve these problems.

"After that, I plan to come to Washington where I will have meetings in the State Department, Congress. There will also be a meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors who stay on American continents to coordinate our foreign missions. We are doing this on a permanent basis," the minister said.
