Prystaiko thanked Pompeo for the restated clear and powerful messages of the United States' unwavering support to Ukraine in counteracting Russian aggression, upholding Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, enhancing defense capabilities and implementing critical reforms.

At the same time, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that the agenda of the face-to-face meeting between Pompeo and Prystaiko, as well as within the delegations, included the issues of bilateral political and practical cooperation between Ukraine and the USA.

"In particular, the parties focused on coordinated action by Ukraine and the US in the international arena with the aim of restoring Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty, practical security cooperation, and maintaining active bilateral dialogue at all levels within the existing formats of Ukraine-US strategic partnership," the statement reads.

In this context, Prystaiko expressed deep gratitude to the Administration and the U.S. Congress for systematic support and expansion of practical assistance to Ukraine. He stressed that Ukraine is a US partner in maintaining international security and is interested in attracting US strategic investment in military, technical, energy and other fields.

"During the talks, Mike Pompeo assured Ukraine of the full support of the United States in stopping Russia's aggression and restoring Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in full, confirmed by imposition of additional sanctions on January 29. At the same time, the US side emphasized the importance of maintaining the high rate and effectiveness of reforms in Ukraine," the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine informed.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the international organizations and to maintain contacts on all bilateral issues of practical cooperation.
