US Embassy welcomes signing of law on illicit enrichment

The Embassy of the United States in Ukraine has welcomed the signing by President Volodymyr Zelensky of the draft law that provides for criminal liability for illicit enrichment.
“We welcome President Zelenskyy’s signing of draft law No. 1031, which criminalizes illicit enrichment and introduces a mechanism for civil confiscation. These are powerful tools for NABU and SAPO to tackle corruption head-on. We encourage Ukrainian authorities to continue taking steps to turn the spirit and promise of the Revolution of Dignity into reality,” the Embassy wrote on its Facebook page.
A reminder that the Ukrainian president signed the bill on criminal liability for illicit enrichment on November 25.
