German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has canceled his trip to Donbas due to bad weather and will fly to Kyiv, Germany's international broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported on November 18, with reference to the German Federal Foreign Office.
"Many flights at the Kharkiv airport were canceled or delayed due to thick fog on November 18," the report reads.
The German Federal Foreign Office said that Maas should fly to Kyiv on November 19. He is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk, and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko.
It was initially planned that during a two-day visit to Ukraine on November 18-19, Maas would visit the Ukrainian capital and Donbas.
After visiting the contact line in Donbas, Maas was to travel to Kyiv to hold talks with Zelensky, Honcharuk, and Prystaiko.
