Court orders State Department to release Ukraine records

"A federal judge Wednesday gave the State Department 30 days to release Ukraine-related records, including communications between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani," the television channel reported.

The report notes that a lawsuit was filed by the watchdog group American Oversight, which insisted on disclosing information about attempts to pressure the Ukrainian authorities, as well as documents related to the recall of U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

At the same time, Christopher Cooper ordered lawyers for the group and the State Department to come together to narrow the scope of the documents and produce documents in the next 30 days.

According to CNN, the judge emphasized that correspondence and records of conversations with Giuliani should be made public because Trump's lawyer "does not work for the government."
