Presidential Office head and G7 ambassadors discuss security situation in Donbas

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Bohdan met with the ambassadors of the Group of Seven (G7) countries, accredited in Ukraine, the press service of the head of state has reported.

"Andriy Bohdan thanked the ambassadors for significant assistance to our country and stressed that the Ukrainian side considered that the support of foreign partners, first of all the G7 countries and the European Union, was crucial for the further implementation of reforms," the statement reads.

The participants discussed the security situation in Donbas, in particular in the area of Zolote and Petrivske, where the disengagement of troops is being prepared.

Bohdan informed the diplomats about the expectations of the Ukrainian side from a meeting in the Normandy format.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to new legislative initiatives aimed at promoting the transformation of Ukraine into a modern and highly developed state.

The ambassadors assured him of the unconditional further support of Ukraine.

The parties agreed to continue regular dialogue.

As Ukrinform reported, the G7 ambassadors met with the team of the Presidential Office of Ukraine on Friday, October 11.
