Stefanchuk doesn’t rule out further reduction in number of VR committees
The politician stated this at a press conference on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“We have reduced five committees and we believe that we are already contributing to budget savings. We think that we will look at the efficiency of these committees [the preparatory deputy group has determined that there will be 23 special committees in the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation, instead of 27]: if they show no results in a year, then we may carry out optimization of committees again. Because our task is to make effective cooperation between legislative and executive authorities,” Stefanchuk said.
He has also added that there are plans to reform the number of ministries as well.
At the same time, when asked by journalists whether it is necessary to expect a reduction in the number of ministries, Stefanchuk explained that it would depend on the future cooperation among different authorities and their results.
