NSDC Secretary: Defense to be main topic of Zelensky-Trump meeting

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk is convinced that defense will be the main issue on the agenda during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States.
"The issue of security accounts for nearly 80% of the US-Ukraine agenda. This is very important and will be the basis of negotiations during the leaders' meeting,” Danylyuk said on the air of Radio Novoye Vremya.
The amount of US military assistance to Ukraine increases every year, he added.
On July 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker said that the Ukrainian and U.S. sides are currently agreeing on the date of the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States and it will be announced shortly.
