Zelensky creates delegation to participate in meeting of states parties to CCW Convention

President Volodymyr Zelensky has set up a delegation to participate in the annual meeting of States Parties to the Convention on prohibitions on the use of certain conventional weapons (CCW), which will take place in Geneva on August 22-23.

The relevant decree, No. 528/2019, has been published on the president’s website.

"To create a Ukrainian delegation to participate in the Annual Meeting of Experts of the States Parties to the Convention on prohibitions or restrictions on the use of certain conventional weapons which may be deemed to be excessively injurious or to have indiscriminate effects,” reads the document.

According to the decree, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN Yurii Klymenko has been appointed as head of the delegation.

Apart from Klymenko, the delegation includes five more officials.
