First Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko has informed that she wrote a statement as the presidential commissioner for peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas and a representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group with a request to dismiss her from these positions.

Gerashchenko made a corresponding statement during a presentation of the report on her activity at the position of the Ukrainian presidential commissioner for peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I thanked President Poroshenko for this high honor to work in his team for over five years trying to settle these difficult issues," Gerashchenko said.

At the same time, she noted that the membership of the Minsk Group — the representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE — should be refreshed.
