G7 foreign ministers to discuss security issues, including situation in Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine is on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of G7 foreign ministers, according to Canada’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“At the meeting of G7 Foreign Ministers in Dinard, France, the Minister [Chrystia Freeland] and her colleagues will discuss action on international and security issues, including those related to Venezuela, Ukraine and Russia, North Korea and Syria,” the report says.

The ministry also added that the meeting will be “an opportunity for G7 Foreign Ministers to exchange views on threats to democracy, including foreign interference, human rights violations, terrorism and violent radicalization, as well as how to best address xenophobia, racism and discrimination worldwide.”

A reminder that the meeting of G7 Foreign Ministers will be held in Dinard on April 5-6, 2019.
