About 40,000 new jobs created in Khmelnytskyi region over past four years

About 40,000 new jobs have been created in Khmelnytskyi region over the past four year.

President Petro Poroshenko stated this at a meeting of the Regional Development Council in Khmelnytskyi region, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Khmelnytskyi region attracts investment to create jobs. Over the past four years, almost 40,000 new jobs have been created in the region," he said.

According to Poroshenko, more than 230 enterprises with foreign capital from 35 countries operate in the region.

He also stressed that more than 50% of investments in Khmelnytskyi region came from the countries of the European Union.

In addition, Poroshenko noticed that exports from Khmelnytskyi region to the EU grew by more than 37% last year, and now half of the region's exports are delivered to the European Union.
