Ukraine is ready to make a significant contribution to the strengthening of the collective security system.

"Ukraine is ready and may be not only a recipient but may also make a significant contribution to strengthening of the collective security system," Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said at the meeting with United States Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Michael Murphy in Washington D.C., the Government portal reports.

The Vice Prime Minister underscored the importance of US support for Ukraine’s joining NATO Enhanced Opportunities Programme, as well as in other issues.

The parties paid special attention to the elaboration and implementation of the Annual National Programme under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission. The new approaches to the formation of the ANP and the innovative introduction of performance and implementation indicators this year, which will allow monitoring the ANP results more efficiently, have been praised.

"The United States remains one of the main strategic partners of Ukraine. The present-day relations between our countries have entered a new level of quality and we are ready for the comprehensive expansion of our cooperation with the United States," Klympush-Tsintsadze said.

"The United States supports Ukraine and aims to strengthen and deepen the genuine partnership relations," Murphy assured.
