Ukrinform
President Petro Poroshenko has stated that the strategy of Ukraine’s further counteraction to the military aggression of the Russian Federation must be based on the rigid and active defense and the introduction of international tools to monitor the security situation.

"The strategy of our further counteraction to the aggression of the Russian Federation will be based on: the rigid, active defense, which makes aggressive actions of the enemy pointless; further increase of the defense potential of the state; active diplomacy focused on the formation of a mechanism to influence the aggressor,” Poroshenko wrote on Facebook.

According to him, this strategy will include an increase in international sanctions capable of persuading the aggressor not to escalate the situation, establishing and maintaining cooperation with Ukraine’s partners on all international platforms and coordinating strategic communications.

In addition, Poroshenko wrote about the importance of implementing international tools for monitoring the security situation across Ukraine, especially in the regions of the Black and Azov Seas.

The president also stressed the need for strengthening and consolidating forces within the state through effective social and economic policies and poverty reduction.
