Government of Ukraine pays UAH 17.2 mln in financial aid to liberated captives, families of political prisoners

The Government of Ukraine has already paid UAH 17.2 million in financial aid to liberated captives, families of political prisoners and prisoners of war and continues to support them if necessary.
"Protection of political prisoners, prisoners of war: UAH 17.2 million was paid to 71 Ukrainian citizens freed from captivity, 77 families of political prisoners for professional legal assistance, families of 24 Ukrainian sailors captured by Russian servicemen," Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said while presenting the Government's report for 2018 at the Cabinet’s meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He assured that the authorities did not forget Donbas. Currently, 787 different projects aimed at the infrastructure and socio-economic development are being implemented on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
