NACP’s budget for 2019 totals over UAH 750 mln

The budget of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) for the next year totals over UAH 750 million, of which 75% will be allocated to distribute funds among political parties, the agency’s press service reports.

"The budget of the NACP will amount to UAH 758.4 million in 2019. According to clause 8.2 of Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Prevention of Corruption,’ the National Agency should distribute 75% of this amount (UAH 565.7 million) among parliamentary political parties under the budget program “Financing of the Statutory Activities of Political Parties,” reads the report.

In 2018, UAH 513.7 million was allocated to finance the statutory activities of political parties. The increase in expenditures under the budget program "Financing of the Statutory Activities of Political Parties" in 2019 “is due to an increase in the amount of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, which is taken into account when calculating the volumes of financing of parliamentary political parties ".

"For the development of the National Agency, the 2019 state budget envisages UAH 36 million, which is 4% of the total budget of the NACP. Also, under the budget program “Management and Management in the Field of Prevention of Corruption,” UAH 156.6 million (21% of the budget) will be allocated to pay wages, utilities and energy source,” reads the report.
