President of Poland Andrzej Duda may soon make a visit to Ukraine amid the crisis situation in the Sea of Azov.

Pawel Mucha, Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, expressed this opinion on the air of Polish Radio ZET.

“If there is such a need... then I would not rule it out,” Mucha said, when asked whether President Duda would follow the example of the President of Lithuania and whether he could visit Ukraine in the near future.

The official noted that the President of Poland was responding very actively to the situation in Ukraine as evidenced by the telephone conversation between Presidents Duda and Poroshenko on Monday as well as “very strong” statements made by the President during his visit to Bulgaria on Tuesday.

Mucha added that Poland would consistently support Ukraine in the international arena.

“We do not agree with the annexation of Crimea, the blockade of the Kerch Strait, the Russian incidents in the Sea of Azov,” the Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland said.

He also noted that the Polish side very clearly indicated that Russia must feel the consequences of its actions. Accordingly, the President of Poland declared the possibility of imposition of further sanctions against Russia.
